The following ‘Refund Policy’ shall be applicable to all the students who desire to take refund of his/her fee


  1. Refund before commencement of program

    If a student, before commencement of program, desires to discontinue with the KELVIN Institute due to any reason whatsoever and seeks refund of his/her fee, refund will only be processed subject to compulsory/mandatory deduction of Rs. 1000/- on account of admission process charges & administrative charges from the amount deposited by the student. The rest of the amount after deducting said admission process & administrative charges will be refunded to the student next within 15 working days from the date of application of refund through cheque. The Admission fee deposited towards a particular program will not be adjusted against any other program or on account of any other student.

  2. Refund within 15 days after commencement of study session

    If a student, after the commencement of program but within 15 days from the commencement of program, desires to discontinue with the KELVIN Institute due to any reason whatsoever and seeks refund of his/her fee, refund will only be processed subject to compulsory/mandatory deduction of Rs. 3000/- on account of admission process charges, seat cancellation charges & administrative charges from the amount deposited by such student. The rest of the amount after deducting said admission process charges, seat cancellation charges & administrative charges will be refunded to the student next within 15 working days from the date of application of refund through cheque.

  • Note

    The policy of refund mentioned herein above under clause ‘a’ & ‘b’ are applicable to both categories of mode of Payment fee i.e. ‘payment of fee in lump sum’ and ‘payment of fee by installment’.

  1. No application/request for refund of fee shall be entertained by the KELVIN Institute after 15 days from the commencement of study session/batch. If the student voluntarily withdraws himself/herself from the KELVIN Institute after 15 days from the commencement of study Session/batch, such student will only be entitled to take back his/her remaining Post-Dated Cheques of Installment, as deposited by the student at the time of admission. The student shall not claim any part of any amount/installment already materialized by KELVIN Institute during the session (s) in terms of Installment schedule of such student. The return of Post-Dated Cheque(s) shall also be subject to deposit of any remaining fee for current session. The Cheques will be returned by the KELVIN Institute on depositing of remaining fee, if any, of current session. In case a student fails or refuses to pay the remaining fee, if any, or any part thereof, KELVIN has a right to recover the said fee from the student by encashing the post-dated cheque of such session or by other means as allowed under law. The withdrawal from the Study Session after 15 days shall be constituted as voluntarily withdrawal from the KELVIN Institute without any bonafide & legitimate reason (s) and student shall not be entitled to claim any refund of the fee already materialized by the KELVIN Institute in terms of payment schedule.

  • Note

    The policy of refund mentioned herein above under clause ‘c’ is applicable only for those students who opted ‘payment of fee by installment’.

  1. If a student has opted the option ‘Onetime Payment of Fee in lump sum’ along with the benefit of scholarship and then intends to withdraw from KELVIN Institute after expiry of 15 days from commencement of session/batch for any reason whatsoever, such withdrawal shall be constituted as voluntarily withdrawal from the KELVIN Institute without any bonafide & legitimate reason (s). However, upon written request for a refund of fee or any part thereof, it would be processed on pro-rata basis on the total course fee, excluding any concession benefit availed under any scholarship or scheme of KELVIN Institute. The duration for the course for the case would be taken from the date of batch commencement to the date of application for refund.


    For clarification please read the following Illustration:


    “A One Year course starts on July 10, 2019 and student takes admission on July 24, 2019. Student discontinues the class from October 18, 2019, however applies for the refund on November 15, 2019 then the total duration for “pro-rata basis” would be considered from July 10 to November 15, 2019. (118 days). These 118 days will be multiplied by Fee per day that will be calculated by dividing the course tuition fee without including any benefit of scholarship or any other discount. The ending date for the purpose of Fee per day calculation would be taken from the prospectus of the centre where admission was taken.”

  • Note

    The policy of refund mentioned herein above under clause ‘D’ is applicable only for those students who opted ‘Onetime Payment of Fee in Lumpsum.

  1. No application/request for refund of fee shall be entertained by the KELVIN Institute made by the students of Crash Course of any stream under any circumstances.

  2. In all cases of refund, the date of submission of Refund application will be considered for Refund Process and not by the last date of class taken by the student. In all cases, the decision of KELVIN Institute Management shall be final and binding. The refund process will take minimum 15 reasonable working days and refund cheque(s) will be issued on the name of Parent of the student only.
