The Terms & Conditions mentioned herein under are deemed to have been read, understood and agreed upon once the course booking has been processed. The terms and conditions are binding once the booking form has been signed and submitted.

General Terms & Conditions

  1. The Applicant must carefully read the prospectus, scholarship program and fee schedule before applying for admission.
  2. The Applicant shall provide his/her exact and accurate information in the Admission Form. KELVIN Institute reserves its right to reject the incomplete form and candidature of any Student who provided the wrong / incorrect information in the Admission Form.
  3. The Applicant must submit the following along with the Admission Form:
    • Photocopies of self-attested Mark Sheet of class VIII/ IX/ X /XI/ XII.
    • 3 passport size recent color photographs.
    • Valid ID proof/School ID.
    • Parent/Guardian ID.
    • Address Proof (Aadhar Card/Voter ID card of the parent will constitute as a valid proof for the purpose of Address of Candidate)
  4. The Applicant shall provide his/her or parent mobile number for regular communication/information. The Applicant shall ensure that the Mobile Number provided to the KELVIN Institute shall be in regular and good working conditions (any smartphone recommended) as all the information like extra classes, test marks, schedule of class and other general Information will be provided by the KELVIN Institute to the Student on the Mobile Number through SMS/e-mail/WhatsApp etc.
  5. The KELVIN Institute is not responsible for any communication gap due to DND Services and other ancillary norms of Mobile Service Provider, so please ensure proper Mobile Services through your Mobile Service Provider.
  6. In case of any change of Mobile Number, please immediately inform the KELVIN Institute in writing and get the Mobile Number updated with the KELVIN Institute otherwise KELVIN Institute will not be responsible for not getting any information on time.
  7. Please forthwith intimate the KELVIN Institute in writing if applicant/student change his/her residential address & e-mail ID. In case the Applicant/Student fails to update the said information, KELVIN Institute will not be held responsible for any loss or damage on account of lack of information or otherwise.
  8. Student(s) must ensure that he/she attend all the classes and/or test(s) as per the schedule informed or given by the KELVIN Institute from time to time. KELVIN Institute will not be held responsible for any loss in study if the student fails to attend the classes or test(s) in the appropriate manner as scheduled.
  9. Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to recognize that other students may require support and assistance. If a student becomes persistently disruptive, the Institute reserves the right to give a verbal and/or written warning. If a student is dismissed for misconduct, no refund will be given. Students are encouraged to arrive for classes on time. Late entry to the class is at the discretion of the lecturer/teacher.
  10. There are no classes on public holidays unless in particular circumstances, the KELVIN Institute deems it fit that classes are to be held as usual. Students will receive a reminder via email/SMS where a class is scheduled on a public holiday.
  11. If any student found absent for more than 15 days continuously, without any prior written application & approval, he/she will not be allowed to attend the classes and will not be given any test paper(s), He / She may be deemed to be expelled from the KELVIN Institute. No separate intimation will be given to the parents in this regard and no fee or part of the fee paid shall be refunded in such cases in any circumstances. The decision of the Management in this regard shall be final and binding on the students & parents.
  12. If a student is absent in test(s), he/she can find his/her question paper on the student portal. The hard copy of the test will not be provided by the KELVIN Institute on any demand.
  13. Any study material given during the classes or otherwise, will not be provided to those students, who are absent without prior application & approval. No request for providing study material or of personal appointments in this regard shall be entertained by the KELVIN Institute.
  14. If the student lost/ misplaced his/her study material, the student must inform the KELVIN Institute within a reasonable period to avoid any loss in study and get duplicate set of the book(s)/study material from the KELVIN Institute against applicable charges. The current charges for obtaining duplicate book/study material is Rs. 200/- per book/study material, however, KELVIN Institute has a right to revise the said rate time to time. If the bag provided to the student is lost/ misplaced, a new bag can be obtained from the KELVIN Institute against the payment of Rs. 600/-.
  15. The KELVIN Institute issued an Identity Card to each student. The entry in the classes/KELVIN Institute will be only permitted with Identity Card. If a student lost/misplaced his/her ID card, he/she may forthwith intimate the KELVIN Institute and request for issuing duplicate I-Card. Duplicate I-card will be issued against the payment of Rs. 100/-
  16. I-Card issued by the KELVIN Institute shall not be used by student(s) for any other purposes except for the entry in the KELVIN Institute and classrooms. Any student, who is found indulged in misusing the I-card of KELVIN, he/she will be rusticated from the KELVIN Institute.
  17. Parents and Student must ensure that Student attends KELVIN Institute in proper and admire manner. Any misconduct shall not be tolerated, and appropriate action will be taken against such student.
  18. Any act of indiscipline by the student brought to the notice of the administration of KELVIN Institute in the classroom/center, will not be accepted. If despite warning, student will not change his/ her approach and commits another act of indiscipline, KELVIN Institute has a right to terminate his/ her candidature for the program (free-ship or otherwise) with immediate effect without giving any further notice or warning.
  19. In case a student misbehaves/ gets involved in negative activities like teasing, theft, indiscipline, bullying, raging using of abusive language, and taking or promoting any kind of intoxication, he/ she can be rusticated forthwith by KELVIN Institute and no fee shall be refunded in such cases.
  20. In case if any parent/guardian misbehaves with any staff member/management of the KELVIN Institute, his/her ward can be rusticated from the KELVIN Institute and no claim of refund of such student will be entertained. The decision of the Center-Head will be final and binding on the student and parent/ guardian.
  21. No student is allowed to carry Mobile phone/ i-pod /Tablet/ Laptop in the classes. In case, if he/she carries Mobile phone/ i-pod /Tablet/ Laptop in the class, then it is the responsibility of such student to keep the instrument switched off to avoid any disturbance in the class.
  22. If any student is caught employing unfair means during the KELVIN talent search exam (KTSE), KELVIN Scholarship Test (KST) or any of the routine fortnightly, he/she is liable to immediate removal from examination hall, and no refund shall be made of KTSE / KST or Course fee.
  23. Student itself should take care about his/her belongings. The KELVIN Institute is not responsible for any loss/damage or theft of any items carried by the student in KELVIN Institute. No claim on account of any theft or damage to the belongings of any student shall be entertained by the KELVIN Institute.
  24. The KELVIN Institute shall not be responsible for providing seating arrangement to the parents while the classes and/or tests of their wards are in progress. As we don’t have any waiting area at front office, parents are requested to make their own arrangements.
  25. Parents can meet the Centre-Head for any inquiry about their ward's progress or any other problem concerning their ward with prior appointment only at fixed time
  26. A fee schedule for all programs is separately provided to the student(s) along with the prospectus. The students are advised to opt the fee schedule carefully. KELVIN Institute is providing two modes of payment of fee, first is ‘onetime fee payment in lump sum’ and second ‘payment of fee in installment’. The said fee schedule is final and binding and no change shall be made in fee schedule in under any circumstances
  27. The student must submit & pay his/her respective fee strictly in accordance with the fee schedule opted by him/her at the time of admission. The fee will be accepted by Cash/Valid Cheque/Bank Draft in favour of "KELVIN INSTITUTE-Fee A/c". Fee Due date means final fee submission date given by the KELVIN Institute. If a student is giving the cheque on Due Date then it will be constituted as late fee and late fee will be charged by KELVIN Institute from such student (s).
  28. The KELVIN Institute has no policy to provide any additional benefit on payment of lump sum fee either at the time of Admission or submission of examination fee.
  29. If the student opts ‘payment of fee in installment’, depositing of postdated cheques for all installments, as per the fee schedule, is mandatory. The admission shall be confirmed by the KELVIN Institute only on depositing of post-dated cheques for all installments.
  30. In case cheque of any installment is dishonoured, student must deposit his/her due fee within 10 days from the date of intimation by the KELVIN Institute to the said effect along with late fee of Rs. 50/- per day and cheque dishonoured charges of Rs. 500/- by way of Cash or Demand Draft. If despite intimation student fails to deposit his/her due fee within said 10 days, KELVIN Institute has a right to cancel his/her admission forthwith without giving any further notice and/or to withdraw the permission to attend any class/test or to take any benefit from the KELVIN Institute. In such circumstances, the student is also not entitled to claim any fee refund from the KELVIN Institute.
  31. Once admission of student gets cancelled due to non-payment of fee, any request for re-admission will be considered subject to with previous due payment with penalty along with re-admission charges of Rs.500/-
  32. All the payments of fee are subject to applicable taxes. If at any point in time, the Central Government / State Government further increases Goods & Service Tax (GST), (existing rate of Goods & Service Tax is 18%) or impose any new Tax(s), increased rate of taxes/ applicable new tax amount will be borne by the student from the date of enforcement of the direction/notification or order by the Govt. If the applicable taxes will not be paid by the student despite appropriate demand then the KELVIN Institute has the right not only to cancel the admission of such student(s) but also to recover the said tax(s) from student or from parent of such student.
  33. If at any point of time Govt. decides to charge Goods & Service Tax (GST) on scholarship/ concession amount/ fee waiver/ prize money, reward etc. then the Goods & Service Tax (GST) shall be borne by the student in the same manner as mentioned above.
  34. The KELVIN Institute reserves the right to increase the fees at any time but fee increases will not apply in cases where the fees have already been paid.
  35. The refund of Tuition Fee shall be calculated on the amount of mode of fee/fee installment mentioned in the fee schedule regardless of any scholarship granted or availed by the student.

Branch/ Batch Transfer Policy for Engineering/ Medical & Foundation Course Students

  1. The transfer from one centre/branch to another branch of KELVIN Institute is only allowed by the Management of KELVIN in case where the student through their parents submits proper and valid documents of transfer of his/her residence within the local limits of current centre/branch to the local limits of desires centre/branch of KELVIN Institute. The student will have to submit the proper documented proof, as instructed for by the Management of KELVIN Institute, in support of his/ her request at the new centre where he/ she has requested for transfer.
  2. Subject to proper verification, availability of seat & desired centre and approval of the KELVIN Institute, and deposit of necessary transfer & administrative charges of Rs. 1000/-, such transfer from one branch to another branch of the KELVIN will be allowed to the desirous student. The transfer process will be usually completed within a week’s time from the date of submission of necessary documents.
  3. Before joining the course in transferee branch of KELVIN after approval of transfer, the student shall submit proper details of fee paid at the previous centre, duly certified by Admission in-charge of that centre, to the Admission in-charge of the new/transferee centre where transfer is required. Whatever amount of fee or its installments the student might have paid at first centre, he/ she will have to pay the rest of the fee installments at the new centre, as per the fee details given in the prospectus of that new centre where transfer is required.
  4. If the student has paid fees in lump sum or installments at first centre and applies for transfer to a centre having higher fee for the same course then he/ she will have to pay the difference in fee at the new centre. If the student, after paying the fee in lump sum or installments at first centre, applies for transfer to some other centre having a lower fee than previous one, he/she shall not be entitled to balance fee/ adjustment of any difference in the amount of fee between two centers.
  5. If any student applies for transfer on the due date of fee installment or three days prior to that, he/ she requires to first have to make payment of that installment at the existing branch where he/ she is currently studying, only after that any request for transfer of branch will be considered.

    For clarification please read following Illustration:

    If the due date is 10th October, 2019 and the student applies for transfer on 4th October, 2019 then the transfer request will only be entertained but if the student applies for transfer on 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th October, 2019 or beyond that date, then the student will first have to pay the installment at currently studying centre only after that the request of transfer will be considered.

  6. If a student desirous to change his/her batch, (for ex. – Weekdays to Weekend batch, Afternoon Batch to Evening Batch), he/she will be allowed subject to the availability in the desirous batch and approval by Centre Head. The student who is desirous to change his/her batch will require to submit a written request with requisite fee of Rs. 200/- and written approval/sanction letter of his/ her parents before 5 working days prior to proposed date of change of batch. The decision of the Centre Head will be treated as final in this regard.

Special Conditions

  1. It is for the student himself/herself to see whether he/she is eligible for a particular examination or not. The KELVIN Institute does not hold itself responsible if a student's admission form cannot be forwarded or is rejected by the examining body on any ground whatsoever, such a student cannot claim a refund of the whole or any part of the fee he/she had paid to the KELVIN Institute.
  2. Students enrolled with KELVIN Institute have to provide photocopy of Admit Card or other relevant detail of various Foundations Level Olympiads, NTSE, KVPY, Engineering, Medical Entrance Exams, as soon as they receive their cards from the examining body before/during Test Series to be conducted in end of the session of enrolled program, failing which the student shall not be allowed to attend free Test Series & will not be given Test Papers.
  3. The responsibility of getting admission form forwarded to the examining body is that of the student himself/ herself or that of the Parent/ Guardian.
  4. The KELVIN Institute has all the rights to make any alteration/change/amend/modify any of its academic program (s)/ venue/place of class (s) and/or teaching schedule, timing, days without any prior notice to the student. It is sole discretion and prerogative of the KELVIN Management to make such changes at any point of time and students are not allowed to protest or object the decision of KELVIN Management in this regard. The decision of the Center-Head shall be final and binding on the student and the parents.
  5. In case, any dispute or difference arises between student/ parents and the KELVIN Institute regarding the interpretation of these terms and conditions, non-payment of any claim or any dispute arising out of or in pursuant to these terms and conditions, the same shall be decided by the way of discussion with the KELVIN Institute management and the decision taken by KELVIN Institute management shall be final and binding.
  6. Any dispute(s) and differences shall be governed by and construed under the laws of India and the Courts of New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate any dispute and differences arising out of or in connection with this Agreement.
  7. A student after qualifying KELVIN Institute’s any Entrance Test and taking admission at any Centre of KELVIN Institute will be bound by the rules and regulations of that Centre in all matters whatsoever.
  8. The KELVIN Institute is not responsible of any loss of study or otherwise due to any natural calamity such as earthquake, floods, fire, electric short circuit etc. and/or discontinuations of classes/test(s), permanently or temporarily under any Government/Court/Authority(s) order(s), directions and notifications.
  9. The KELVIN Institute shall not provide guarantee for success in any entrance examination through its academic courses. The student (s) shall not blame or claim any damage or compensation from the KELVIN Institute in case of his/her not succeeding in any entrance examination.
  • Scholarship offered on Tuition Fee only.
  • All PDCs to be submitted at the time of admission.
  • All the Cheques/DDs should be in favour of " KELVIN INSTITUTE-Fee A/c".
